"4th Annual An Inch Goes A Mile" Whitetail Fundraiser Results
What a difference a year makes! Outdoorsmen for Alzheimer’s is pleased to report a total of $14,478.04 raised during the 4th Annual “An Inch Goes a Mile Whitetail Fundraiser”, all of which will be used to further Alzheimer’s research within NC, education and awareness. This is a 400% increase over last year’s event!

Funds raised during this year’s event were generated through pledges, flat donations, honoraria, memorials and corporate donations. Individual supporters accounted for the largest source of funds raised. All 150 supporters were ever so generous as they contributed $11,701.92 during this event which spanned from September 13th 2008 – January 15th 2009. Corporate sponsors participated by providing in-kind contributions and/or cash contributions. Cash contributions from corporate sponsors totaled $2,776.08 during this year’s event. In- kind donations were used as awards for the top fundraisers.
Looking ahead, OFA could not be more excited about the future of this event. For 2009, event goals include raising in excess of $30,000, expansion of the fundraising team to 30 members with representatives from NC, SC, VA, GA and TN, the addition of a banquet,and the recruitment of additional corporate sponsors who desire to play a significant role in the advancement of Alzheimer’s research, education and awareness.
